DiY tiling is doable. Here is some tips I have learned:
- Don't leave your tile adhesive on the wall for too long before laying your tile, especially in hot weather.
- Planning the layout is essentially. Spent time and consider all the options and difficulties.
- Your trim size and location is crucial, tthink carefully about it and put the layout wherever is best to make make the trim finish flow the nicest.
- Send as much time as you need layong your first row, levelling and double checking running height. This determines where your tiling will finish and in many cases is so crucial to matching grout lines and fittings.
- Make sure you know what fittings are going where, what size hole is needed and if the plumber is needing to raise toilet outlet heights to allow for the tile thickness.
