💦 Blocked drain turned into a full repair, sorted from start to finish!

This client called us with a blocked drain. After clearing the blockage with our hydroblaster and cutting away the tree roots, we discovered the real problem, the bottom of the drain elbow was cracked and broken.

Using our drain locating equipment, we pinpointed the exact location of the damage, cut the concrete, dug down and carefully removed the broken elbow.

Once repaired, we:
🔧 Bedded the new pipework in pea metal
💧 Thoroughly tested the drain
⛏️ Backfilled the excavation
🏗️ Re-concreted the area
🧹 Left the site clean and tidy

Job complete and one happy client!

Another beautiful winter’s day in Nelson Tasman ☀️🔧

This client called us after discovering a leak around their hot water cylinder. After a quick photo, we identified the problem a failed tempering valve.

We picked up the correct replacement from Reece Plumbing, headed to site, protected the client’s home, replaced the faulty valve and tested the system to make sure everything was running exactly as it should.

No leaks. Hot water flowing. Happy client. 🤝

A little look at what being a plumber in Nelson Tasman can look like 🔧🌊

This one took us two and a half hours from home to Cape Foulwind on the West Coast for an extensive renovation in an absolutely unreal location.

Hot water cylinder disconnected, kitchen pre-piped, new gas califont installed and the gas hob pre-piped, then tools down and the drone up. 👌

Long drives and long days are all part of the job, but when this is the view at knock-off, you can’t complain.

Pretty hard to beat the West Coast on a good day. 🌅

A massive milestone for the EPG DREAM TEAM and I couldn’t be prouder of this crew!

To celebrate hitting 300 Google reviews, we downed the tools and headed out for an afternoon of Ambrose golf. ⛳️

There was plenty of banter, a bit of questionable golf 😂 and, of course, some healthy competition. The winning team earned bragging rights AND gets their names engraved on the EPG Golf Trophy. 🏆

We finished the day catching up over dinner with our partners, the people behind the scenes who support us through the early starts, late finishes and everything in between.

All in all, an epic day with an epic bunch of people.

Client: “I’ve got a leak at my hot water cylinder.”

EPG: “No worries, we’ll be there soon!”

While repairing the hot water cylinder leak, our plumber discovered another leak beneath the deck. After cutting an access opening and excavating the area, we found the old galvanised water main was badly corroded and beyond repair.

We replaced the entire water main from the toby at the boundary to the connection beneath the house—with new MDPE pipework.

If your home was built before the 1980s, it may be time to have your old water main checked or replaced. Give the Enriched Plumbing & Gas team a call, we have the skills and equipment to get it sorted!
