🚛 A little truck with a lot of grunt! 💪

It’s been a few months now since our new truck joined the Flomac fleet, and here it is all the way up at the Remarkables! 🏔️

This little unit is proving its worth, helping us work more efficiently, get to jobs better equipped, and get things flowing again faster. 💦

There’s a serious amount of power and capability packed into this compact setup, making it a great addition to the team!

Today, after a bit of hunting, I finally located this root snake! 🐍🌳
Longer than my shovel and about as heavy as a 24 pack (which is what i needed after the fight!), this thing was a bit of a handful! 😂
Luckily for the customer, this beast has now been removed, so tomorrow’s heavy rain shouldn’t be causing any more trouble. 🌧️💦
Another day, another drain full of surprises! 😆

It's been one heck of a drive all the way from Auckland, but soon this purpose-built plumbing and drainage truck will be back in Queenstown!
This unit even has a jetter built in, which means once everything is transferred across, we'll be even more efficient at sorting drain problems. Having more equipment and more options on hand means we can tackle jobs faster and provide an even better service for our customers.
Looking forward to getting this truck on the road and putting it to work! 🚛💨💧

It was a game of hide-and-seek today! 🔎

Two gully traps were playing exceptionally well and had managed to stay hidden for many years before finally being dug up and found again.

With the traps located and cleared, the drains are flowing properly once more. No doubt they'll try to hide again, but we'll be back to hunt them down in a few more years! 😄

We’ve got an extra vehicle that needs to go!

If you’ve seen our truck setup, you’ll know just how practical and well-equipped these can be. This one features all-steel shelving, door alarms so you don’t accidentally drive off with one open, a reversing camera, and heaps of other handy extras.

Best of all, it can be purchased for less than the cost of a ute tray setup!

Great shots of what our hydro jetting unit can really do 💪

This line was completely choked with tree roots. After a full jet clean, we cleared it right back to the edges of the pipe — exposing a split on a join that was previously hidden.

From here, it’s the customer’s call:
✔️ Repair now
or
✔️ Monitor and revisit in a few years

Either way, the problem is identified and flowing freely again 👌

If your drains are slow or backing up, roots could be the culprit.

Well… that’s what whipped-up grease looks like 🤢💪

Now it’s time for a proper clean and degrease.
Friendly reminder: please don’t tip grease down the drains these holidays — your pipes will thank you!

We’re signing off for a bit of rest & relaxation over the holidays 😌🌴
Huge thanks to all our customers for an epic year — over 1,000 jobs completed!

See you in the new year 👋🎄
