Another satisfying before and after transformation.

Unfortunately this hydroseed was installed too late into Autumn and never grew so we were contacted by the client to bring the backyard to life with readylawn, timber edging, mulch and schist pavers. Didn’t take much to get this backyard looking like it should!

Readylawn is great for an instant green backyard without the hassle and wait time of using hydroseed or grass seed and is our go-to for the winter months.

Southern Contracting is looking for a skilled and motivated labourer to join our team.
We specialise in landscaping and outdoor construction projects around the Queenstown area.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Landscaping – planting, turfing, and hard landscape construction including paving
• Building retaining walls, decks and fences
• Digging holes and mixing concrete
• Using a range of power tools

What We’re Looking For:
• Experience in landscaping, fencing, or general construction
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Physically fit and ready for hard, outdoor work
• Can leave phone in their pocket and stay focused on the job at hand
• A great attitude and attention to detail
• Full licence (digger experience and class 2 license is a bonus)
• Reliable, motivated, and a good team player
• Able to use initiative and work safely and efficiently
• Able to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

We have been absolutely flat out over the last few months with various projects. Here’s a landscaping project that got the works.

Complete boundary fencing, macrocarpa post and wire fencing, paling and macrocarpa gates, retaining walls, bench seat, gardens, pergolas and hydroseed.

Good to also come back months later and see everything flourish and grown out as well as a healthy looking lawn and no weeds coming through garden beds.

Exciting news!

We have recently taken ownership of a new 2T bobcat digger, 5T tipper truck and tipper trailer.

This will allow us to take on small scale earthworks as well as easing the manual labour on all of our fencing, retaining and landscaping projects.

Both the digger, tipper trailer and auger attachments will be available for dry hire too incase you are needing it on any of your own projects going forward.

2T Digger - $175 plus gst per day
2T Tipper trailer - $50 plus gst per day
Auger attachments - $50 plus gst per day

We are looking forward to putting this little digger to use on your next projects.
