October is rolling on and so is our granny flat build! 🔨

Frames are standing, rafters are on and we’re getting closer to having a roof over this one. Plenty happening on site!

Meanwhile, the crew still looks like a packet of marshmallows in their pink gear 😂💗 worth it for a great cause!

We rebuild houses. We take them back to the frame, work out what's worth keeping, and make them whole again 🔨

That's not a bad description of what a woman goes through after a breast cancer diagnosis, either. Surgery after surgery, appointment after appointment, getting herself back

The research we're funding is about making that rebuild shorter for the next one 💗

So — why were a bunch of builders at a fashion show last Friday?
Because one in nine New Zealand women will be told she has breast cancer, and for our network that's not a statistic. It's personal for us at the top, and it's personal in nearly every office.
Breast Cancer Cure funds New Zealand research aimed at one thing: a cure. This October, all 22 Smith & Sons offices are getting behind them. Your local crew will have the details from 1 October.
