We were called to install an extra socket for a customer. We found we could not isolate the socket we were to take our supply from until we turned off the supply power to the Oven. The previous owner had tried to add an extra circuit and had made this illegal joint to do so. What he did was to by pass the RCD safety system and made a dry joint which would eventually become a fire hazard. No good.

Welcome to 2018, may you all have a wonderful year. Thank you for your support over the past 12 months. Well I thought it was about time we started to keep you informed and up to date.
These pictures below are just some of the crazy things we find when checking faults in properties we visit. First picture is Rat damaged cable, it was still live: the cable I mean, so it could of caused a fire. Second picture is a hot water cylinder isolation switch which had failed... a cheep brand, so don't go there. The third picture was a plug fitted to a water pump outside. Wrong sort of plug for wet conditions. Please be safe and make sure you have your electrical equipment checked if you suspect there could be a problems and ALWAYS keep your rodent traps and bate stations armed. These animals love electrical cables.
Keep well everyone. Regards Peter and the guys.

Hi everybody. Keep the likes coming, much appreciated. Another week nearly on us and it's looking busy as usual. We are one man down for two days this week so it's going to be a challenge to keep up with the work load. Wishing you all the best and be safe with electricity. It has a nasty bite. Cheers.
