Those with a glasshouse will know this frustration well.

If you can’t move around your seedling beds quickly and easily, it’s a problem. Uneven ground, poor drainage and lots of mud isn’t ideal.

Over the years, soil from seedlings had fallen on the ground and was now turning to mud when the sprinklers were turned on.

Excess soil was removed, new metal spread on top to form a base and now there is a cleaner and easier area to move around.

The things you can find underground.

We found an area where a pool had once been buried over. Probably a great short-term solution but not ideal when you want to build on the land.

We dug it out, disposed of it, and made the site structurally sound.

We carted in pit sand to fill the hole and bought the house site up to a finished level to be built on.

Easy as!

The ground between these seedling beds has just been regraded with new metal, resulting in an even and cleaner surface.

Don't wait for a structure to fall.

This very old corrugated iron shed had become brittle due to old age, which could cause it to collapse. Instead of taking that risk, it was decided to pull it down, and recycle the parts that could be.

Better than waiting for an accident to happen.

Stuck in the mud?

When your tracks are this muddy you can’t access what you need to quickly.

We’ve been diverting water away from this track by digging drains on each side and leaving it to dry off a bit before we spread metal onto it.

It’s not just all the rain that was contributing to this, but there was also a large amount of water coming off a neighbouring farm and a spring that is releasing water down the track.

Trucks and Tractors can easily get stuck causing all sorts of delays.

This customer wanted a solid foundation for his shed, so we completed the groundwork for him:

✅ Levelled the base with a slight fall to the back in case water enters
✅ Dug an overland flow path to take surface water away from the shed
✅ Spread concrete fines over the site and overland flow path

Site prep complete. It’s now ready to have the roof put on.
