To ensure the highest quality customer service for all of our projects,
EV Electrical employ a "right first time" methodology and use quality check sheets throughout every stage of the process.
This method allows us to identify any potential issues before they become bigger problems later on, preventing costly call backs and ensuring that jobs are completed correctly the first time.
In addition, it enables us to maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure that our customers remain satisfied with the project.

We digitally manage the paperwork through our job management software for full visibility to all the team.

Quality assurance is an integral part of our operations, and we are proud to adhere to this procedure in order to provide our clients with the best experience possible.

What actually is V2G?

V2G (Vehicle To Grid) is technology that enables the flow of power from your EV battery to and from the grid. This two-way flow of energy makes it possible to store excess renewable energy during times of low demand and deliver it back to the grid when demand increases. It also enables utilities to better regulate the flow of electricity, reducing blackouts and other power disruptions.

In terms of commercial availability, V2G EV charging technology
is still in its early stages, but significant progress has already been made. Several pilot projects have been launched in Europe and New Zealand, but the technology is not yet widely available and only supported by some EV manufacturers. However, as the demand for renewable energy grows, the development of V2G EV charging technologies will become increasingly important.
It is expected that the commercial availability of V2G EV charging technologies could begin within a few years and it is likely that they will become widely available in the near future.

When an electric vehicle's battery reaches 0% SOC (State of Charge), it means that the battery has been completely discharged of its energy. At this point, the battery will shut down, and the electric vehicle will no longer be able to operate.

However, electric vehicle manufacturers design their batteries with a safety buffer, which means that even when the battery shows 0% SOC, there is still some reserve energy left in the battery. This reserve energy is meant to help prevent the battery from being completely drained and potentially damaged.

It's important to note that regularly discharging an electric vehicle's battery to 0% SOC can have negative effects on the battery's overall health and lifespan. Lithium-ion batteries, which are commonly used in electric vehicles, prefer to be charged and discharged between 20-80% SOC. This is why many electric vehicle manufacturers recommend avoiding regularly discharging the battery to 0% SOC and instead, charging the battery before it gets too low.

Additionally, some electric vehicle models have a feature called "battery reserve mode," which limits the amount of energy that can be drawn from the battery to help prevent it from reaching 0% SOC. This feature can help extend the life of the battery and reduce the risk of damage due to over-discharging.
