Fisher Windows Wellington We manufacture, supply and install quality Aluminium Windows and Doors to the Wellington and Kapiti areas. Hi, I'm Russ. I love houses and I love improving them.

I’ve been in the building industry since 1995 and it has been quite a journey. I started out working alongside my father for 10 years before moving into a Contracts Manager role at Boyd Windows in Paraparaumu. While there I kept my hands busy with installations and that’s where I first met JT, who is now our Production Manager at Fisher Windows. When the global financial crisis hit Boyd Windows closed and I returned to building full time. On the side I started helping Fisher Windows Wellington with installations on Saturdays. In 2020 I officially joined the team as a Sales Representative while still rolling up my sleeves for installations. Not long after in 2021 my business partner and I bought Fisher Windows Wellington, and in 2024 I became the sole owner. What keeps me passionate about this work is simple. There is nothing more rewarding than walking into someone’s home and finding solutions to their heating, lighting, or access challenges. My background in both building and installation gives me a strong foundation to understand what people really need and how to make it happen for them. At the end of the day it is about creating homes that feel warmer, brighter, and easier to live in and that is why I love what I do.

✨ A fantastic transformation in Waikanae ✨

New doors and windows have made a beautiful difference to this Waikanae home, with the new joinery fitted neatly into the existing stucco cladding.

Stucco requires a careful approach, so our team took extra care during the installation to avoid damaging the cladding. The result speaks for itself, with a clean, professional finish that looks right at home 👌

Another job where taking the time to get the details right makes all the difference!

Evans Bay, what a way to finish Stage 2! 🌊☀️

There’s something pretty special about a project when the finished result feels like it was made for the space.

These bifold windows have opened up the home to that incredible Evans Bay outlook, bringing in the light, fresh air and views while creating a seamless connection to the outdoor area.

But behind the finished look is careful attention to the details that matter. With this home exposed to those strong southerly conditions, the installation needed to be secure, solid and built to handle whatever the weather throws at it.

The result is a space that not only looks fantastic, but is ready to be enjoyed in all seasons 👌

Another Evans Bay project complete, and another one we’re proud to have been part of.

A look from the outside at the finished bifold windows in Evans Bay! 🌊💨

This spot can really feel the full force of those strong southerly winds, so making sure these windows were super secure was a big part of the installation.

It’s not just about how good the finished result looks. It’s about making sure everything is properly supported, securely installed and built to stand up to the conditions.

Another great project completed, and we’re pretty happy with how this one turned out 👌

Another insert window finished and looking great from the outside 👌

We take pride in getting the installation details right, but the job isn’t finished until the window is clean and ready to enjoy.

A big thanks to one of our boys, Roddy, for giving the window a final clean and making sure everything was looking its best 🧼✨

Another job completed with care from start to finish.

A finished window that looks great and meets the safety requirements ✨

This window sits beside a set of stairs, so toughened safety glass was used to help meet the required safety standards.

It’s not just about how a window looks. The right glass choice is important for keeping your home safe and compliant 🔨

Old timber frames can still have plenty of life left in them with the right approach 🔨

For this job, we replaced an insert window within the existing timber frame, replaced the timber sill and carefully sealed the frame to ensure everything was watertight and built to last 💧

It’s all in the details when it comes to getting a secure, weather tight finish.

Need a window replaced or an existing frame brought back up to standard? Get in touch with our team today.
