🚨L O C K I N T H I S S P R I N G🚨

As we head into spring, timber and aluminium joinery move in opposite directions. Timber tends to dry out and shrink, which can loosen fittings, widen gaps, and leave doors rattling in their frames. Aluminium expands in the heat, which can tighten things up and cause doors and windows to stick or bind.

Either way, it’s worth a quick check now loose fittings and sticking locks both compromise your security. Better to catch it before we get to summer.

🚨I T S N E A R L Y S E P T E M B E R🚨

It’s been a little crazy the last we bit, and I’ve been rather slack when it comes to keeping up with the socials.

We’ve had a few new clients come on board and found plenty of opportunity to keep busy. We’ve spent a bit of time out of town recently with a few good trips to South Waikato for one of our national retail partners.

Mixed in with all the work and travel we’ve found time work on our network, from attending as many of the chamber events as possible to catching up with our mates for a coffee and chat!

While things can be a bit wild at times we are never too busy to sort your security issues!

We met the Ford family back in our early days and quickly found we see things from a very similar point of view. Our transactions went from business to let’s catch up for coffee and talk about our businesses, our challenges, life and our grand ideas for the future.

The Fords are truely great people and there are about 365 reasons you should use them on your next move or to simply get that couch across town.

Early start for me this morning!

Off to the airport at 7.30am to see my big boy off ✈️, followed by a quick trip to Feilding to catch up with some of our AF2M 💚 movers. Like all my visits, it always makes my day that little bit more enjoyable! There was definitely a little clock-watching from me this morning though 👀⏰ because we already know I talk way too much 😂and I had to be back in Palmy for my 11.30 coffee date with my friend Sam at Benson & Co Security.

And guys… if you don’t already know who Sam is, let me introduce you!

I’ve spent some time reflecting on the last 2 years of Benson & Co Security and how far we’ve come.

There have been many ups and many downs but business isn’t always easy. I’ve built connections through networking and connecting with our local business community to help build our brand.

Thank you to each and every person who chooses to work with us, we really couldn’t do it without you all!

Spent today in Whanganui sorting some CCTV issues for one of our national retail partners and apparently Jeff Cruickshank reckons it's time I get in front of the camera more, so here's my face for a change although there’s this bright thing in the sky that got in the way.

Nothing beats getting out and about to one of our many sites and keeping things running smoothly for our clients around the region.

📈M Y B I Z📉

Today wasn’t about installing alarms or cameras it was about investing in the future of Benson & Co Security.

I spent the day at the My Biz Planning Day with Jeff, stepping away from the tools to work on the business instead of in it.

But what did I get? A clear 90 day plan focused on refining our systems, improving how we operate, and building a stronger foundation for the next phase of our growth journey.

A big thank you to Jeff and everyone involved for an insightful day. I’m looking forward to putting the plan into action and seeing where the next 90 days takes us.

Tonight I spent the evening down at the Copthorne Hotel Palmerston North for their Manawatū Business Chamber BA5. It was a great opportunity to network with other local business owners while catching up with existing connections.

The connections I am making at these chamber events have been fantastic when it comes to building our brand and having Benson & Co Security become known throughout the chamber network.
