It’s one of the most common decorating mistakes: choosing a rug that’s too small for the room. If you’ve picked a standard off-the-shelf size for a large lounge, it might be time to rethink it.
Here’s our designer tip: make sure the front legs of your sofa sit on the rug. The rug should anchor the space, and going bigger can make the whole room feel more pulled together.

Colour is doing a LOT more than just making a room look pretty.

It can change how space feels, how we use it, and even how long we want to hang around in it.

We’re big believers in using colour with a bit of intention. Not every room needs to be beige. Not every bold colour needs to be everywhere. And yes, sometimes the colour you’re drawn to is exactly the one your space needs.

So here’s our little sneak peek into the psychology of colour, what different colours can evoke, and where they might work best in your home.

Symmetry isn’t always the answer. The most interesting designs know when to break the rules, shift the balance, and let imperfection take the lead.

Construction and project management are closely connected, but they play different roles. Construction brings the plans to life on site, while project management coordinates the people, timelines, budgets, and decisions that keep everything moving. Both are essential to delivering a successful project.

Design is not our only niche.

We do construction too! And there’s a lot that happens between having a design paper and actually getting it built.

Here’s a little insight into how we approach the construction side of things, from being on site and catching the small stuff to keeping all the moving parts moving.

Because sometimes the best part of the process is having someone else worry about it.
