Planting the tree is only the beginning 🌱

Young trees can take several years to become properly established.

Tree Guards NZ give each tree the chance to grow without being browsed, rubbed against or trampled, which helps today’s planting become shelter, shade and habitat for future generations.

If you’re planning some spring planting, it’s worth thinking about protection before the trees go in.

🌱 Spring farm maintenance check

Now that spring is here, it’s a good time to take a drive around the farm and see what winter has left behind.

A few things worth checking:

• Ruts, potholes and soft spots on farm tracks
• Blocked drains or culverts
• Gravel that has washed away
• Overgrown accessways and fence lines
• Areas where water is sitting or flowing where it shouldn’t

Sorting out small problems early can help prevent them becoming bigger, and more expensive, later in the season.
