Absolutely incredible growth this spring at one of our larger gardens we have built and maintain.

Our latest project now planted out and all of the play areas are installed.

The client contacted us to design a space that included areas for the adults to entertain and spaces for the little ones to enjoy. We played around with ideas and landed on this which includes boardwalks for the little ones to ride their bikes, steppers with little bug hotels to explore plus a grass area with a chalkboard and space to add their own toys.

We planted it out with a mix of natives that in time create a space for to little ones to explore and provide areas for native bugs to hide.

Getting back to see a job a year or so on.

We installed all of the retaining and paving to give the client a usable space at the front.

They have now installed some stunning planting and painted the retaining all black and it really helps everything pop.

Well after 2+ years of growth it is finally time to show of this absolute stunner of a job we completed a few years back.

The clients had a old-school rear garden that was in desperate need of a overhaul. We spent the next year on and off coming up with ideas and designs to make sure we landed on the right design. As this was a large property we needed to make sure we really thought about the design and to make sure everything was seamless when we started.

We then spent the next 4 months constructing this beauty and enjoyed every second of the build. But it wasn't problem free. We found buried retaining walls hidden pipes and a whole more fun to slow us down. We took it all in our stride and are over the moon with the results.

Let us know what you guys think of the whole space as we feel we nailed it and still love spending time at this garden with the clients.

Super stoked with the results of the latest subtropical zen garden our team have built.

The client wanted to recreate the vibes of their homeland and give them a space to relax and unwind.

We installed a centre peice zen garden which is a huge part of what the client wanted. We have then surrounded the centre zen garden with natural stone pavers which take you on a journey around the garden. Once installed we planted the garden our heavily with subtropial plants and palms to give them the privacy and tropical feel they were after.

We think the before and afters speak for themselves.

Out at one of maintenance jobs today. And this project shows that choosing the right planting can help during the dry months. NZ native for the win.

This is a recent project we were brought in to finish up from a previous contractor.

This is a small addition to an already existing kindy play area. It now includes this stunning Fort created to give the little ones plenty of places to hide, crawl and play.

Another addition was a simple yet effective water play which was a donated peice of oak which we carved out to created the run splitting in two at end.

Finally we installed new artifical grass to lift the space from the old tired turf that was in place.

Safe to say all of the children are beyond happy to have their space back after such a long wait.

Also cheers to the guys at for completing all the final inspections to ensure the space is compliant with all relevant standards.

2 years on from the inital planting and its safe to say she has grown remarkably well.

The client is unfortunately moving on from their tropical paradise, so it was the last clean up for the new owners to enjoy. Finger crossed we can continue to maintain this beauty as so much hard work has gone into it.

There is something extremely special about this garden.

Both Winfield Landscapes and the client had been talking over ideas for this space for 3 to 4 years before we implemented this beauty. Safe to say it was time well spent.

This is 2 years on from the install.

We are thinking about entering it into the Landscape Distinction Awards. What do you think!?
