Smart design, compact living, and a strong indoor–outdoor connection.

This 46m² pavilion-style dwelling features a modern gable form, warm timber accents, and large sliding doors opening onto a generous deck — making the space feel much bigger than its footprint.

A practical layout including:

• Bathroom
• Utility/storage space
• Large outdoor deck for extended living

Small dwellings are a great option for lifestyle properties, secondary accommodation, or modern compact living.

At Nick Heppenstall Drafting Services, we believe great architecture comes from a clear, collaborative process and strong communication from day one.

🔹 Initial Meeting Phase
We meet with you to understand your ideas, objectives, budget, and site conditions, while researching relevant planning and local requirements.

We explore concepts through floor plans, elevations, and 3D views, giving you time to review, refine, and shape the design until the final concept is achieved.

🔹 Documentation & Procurement
We prepare detailed drawings and documentation for approvals, consents, and tendering—so your project is ready to move confidently into construction.

Clear process. Thoughtful design. Confident outcomes.

Material Selection Mood Board 🤍

For a pavilion-style home, our client was drawn to a refined mix of natural timbers paired with darker, contemporary claddings. To help visualize this direction, we created this material selection mood board—exploring contrasts between light and dark tones, texture, and durability.

The palette brings together warm timber finishes with sleek options such as fibre cement, aluminum, and metal cladding, creating a balanced exterior that feels both grounded and modern. It’s all about layering materials to enhance form, depth, and character while complementing the pavilion layout.

A great example of how thoughtful material choices can elevate the overall architectural expression of a home.
