2025 has been wild!

Ethans passion for wind and generators has been for filled and he’s waiting for the next weather bomb to hit 🫣😂 kidding - he probably never wants to see another generator in his life.

We are taking some much needed time off over the break to spend time with our girls, family and friends. 🏕️ 🚤 🍷 🍺

As you all know, Ethan can’t stop working, so will be on call for major breakdowns!

Otherwise, that’s us done for 2025!

🏆 APPRECIATION POST 🏆

Ethans off to disconnect one of our last generators off a dairy farm so I thought I’d jump online to post a quick Thankyou post.

There’s just way too many people to thank!

So instead of naming them…..

🟢🔵I want you guys to TAG someone below who went above and beyond for you guys…. Add a quick description of their efforts and I’m going to let Georgie, Libby and Tilly pick the best most heartfelt story that we have ! 🔵🟢

Ethans hijacked my post and he wants to hear the funniest story of the weekend!

🚦🚦DAY FOUR UPDATE 🚦🚦

Did you know, electrical parts have male and female ends….. who knew!!

Seems the good female parts are very very hard to track down…. Typical 😂😂

Update 1: Ethan’s had sleep. Not a lot, but enough to keep him going for day 4. If you see him, give him some food! Please!

Update 2: power is being restored throughout but please be mindful of our rural areas still with nothing, and possibly nothing for the few days.

Update 3: if you have any generator at all, and you’re willing to lend it out, send us a message and we will match you up with someone in need.

Update 4: We are still working from dairy shed to dairy shed, connecting and reconnecting generators. But possibly have some time in between to get anything else done.

Update 5: Ethan did have cell reception yesterday afternoon, but it’s back out now. It’s working really well messaging this page and then Keri passes on the message when he pops in between jobs.

Update 6: home life is wild. But the kids did take a trip into the laundrette and their minds were blown! Tilly could even fit inside the washing machine! 😂 country living folks

Update 7: to everyone who has offered to help Ethan, have the kids, offered parts, left food parcles for him and just been there for a chat and to share the load. You have no idea what that means. You know who you are ❤️❤️❤️

I think thats all for today…. If anyone needs a tea or coffee or shower….. please come visit us!

🚦🚦DAY THREE UPDATE 🚦🚦

Number 1: Check in on your neighbours! Especially the older ones.

Number 2: still no comms around Western Southland. Our plan is working well though. Message this page or Keri and I can relay your message to Ethan via pigeon post.

Number 3: Ethan got 2.5 hours sleep last night and is now back on the road changing over generators and putting in a new underground cable to get our friends sorted.

Number 4: He tired and you can imagine what the stress levels are like. Go easy. It’s trying times.

Number 5: Fingers crossed for some cell towers to be fixed today and some more power on. Our friends at Powernet are working their butts off!

Number 6: Send wine for me….. 3 kids home and no power makes for a lot of board games, barbies, fighting and trying to light the bbq without burning myself.

🚦🚦 Goood Morning Southland 🚦🚦

Ethan is still working with no coverage on his phone!

Please message Keri’s Facebook if you need to get ahold of him and she can pass the message on when he’s between jobs.

Stress levels are high, and without power, there’s a lot of people suffering on their farms.

He’s a one man band, (great time for Riley to be on a work course) He’s trying to work through the workload. But it will take time.

Todays been next level. We’ve never seen anything like it. We hope everyone is safe and keeping dry. 🌧️ 💨

Ethans out currently working between dairy farms helping them get their emergency power supplies back on so they can milk.

If anyone has an emergency or needs some assisstance, Ethan’s phone is very glitchy and calls aren’t coming through well.

Timeframe for power back on, is currently unknown. So also make sure you’re super friendly to our friends at Powernet! They are doing their bloody best under trying conditions!

🔹Doesn't have to have dairy farm experience as this role could mainly be domestic based. But if you do have dairy farm experience this would be a huge bonus!
🔹We have multiple new houses and projects all around the show that you will be working on.
🔹Ideally be confident in all aspects of domestic based work . Heat pump knowledge would be great, but not essential
🔹Pay will be reflected on experience and what you can provide to our team.
