After three strong years, Rā Mākete returns to Te Herenga Waka Marae for Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, and this year we’re coming back bigger and better!

Lil snippet of todays planting as im supposed to be going to sleep right now 😆 I have to get up early for the market at Paekakariki apopo (Saturday 5th Sep)

It was only this potato that rotted .. which is strange as they all recieved the same amount of water ..

Oh well, we still got plants anyway 🤭 these are red king potatoes and will be available to purchase locally soon 🙌 along with Tūtaekuri variety Māori potatoes 🥹🍠

Pressured myself into planting after a big job by talking too much 😫

Market season has arrived along with spring & I am a headless chicken 🐔 😋 running around like crazy, trying to do it all.

Our first market of the season is at Paekakariki this Saturday! (5th September)

What you see when you enter our kura garden 😍 so beautiful, and the general maintenance only takes around 1-2 hours per week, which is totally do-able, right!? 😍

Ps don't stress about the bananas 😆 they'll be back

We are slowly but surely inching towards our 1k followers goal 😍 & it'd be super fun to do a giveaway to celebrate that, and the coming of spring 🏵

SOOOO, make sure you're following along for it! Once we hit our mark, I'll do a post and get you to tag somebody (in Otaki!) that you think could benefit from two hours of free gardening services 👩🏼‍🌾 to be used at their discretion.

Maybe you know someone who's maara has gotten on top of them, or someone who would like to try growing their own kai but isn't sure how to start!
