After more than 12 months of collaboration with the project team, fabrication is now underway on this complex external stair tower, with installation scheduled for October.

Working alongside the architects, engineers and Aoraki Construction, the design has evolved to overcome the unique challenges of attaching a 30-metre stair tower to the side of a 100-year-old building. Meeting seismic, wind and egress requirements demanded a carefully engineered solution, including a design that accommodates significant structural movement 30 metres above its base—all while integrating seamlessly with a heritage structure.

A great example of what can be achieved through strong collaboration, detailed engineering and careful planning. We’re looking forward to seeing this project come to life over the coming months.
