Lawn Rite New Plymouth - Matt Mann

Onehunga w**d is one of New Zealand’s most common lawn w**ds, and it’s the prickly seeds that cause all the trouble!

🌱 Spring: The w**d grows close to the ground and starts developing its prickly seed heads.

🦶 Summer: The seeds dry out and become sharp little spikes that can make life uncomfortable for bare feet and pets’ paws.

✂️ Why mowing isn’t always enough: Because Onehunga w**d grows so low, mower blades can miss it, allowing it to keep growing and producing more prickles.

🦶 Ready to save the feet?

Getting on top of Onehunga w**d before those prickly seeds develop can help reduce the problem. Contact your local Lawn Rite team to discuss treatment options and get your lawn ready for barefoot summer fun!
