Working across Taylor’D Renovations and Taylor’D Construction, the role will primarily involve residential new builds, alongside renovation and alteration projects throughout Nelson/Tasman.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, is reliable, capable, works well within a team and shares our commitment to honesty, integrity and quality.

WE’RE BUILDING OUR TRUSTED TRADE NETWORK

Taylor’D Renovations is growing, and with a strong pipeline of renovation and construction work ahead, we’re looking to establish relationships with a select group of independent local tradespeople and small specialist crews who share the standards we expect on our projects.

We’re not looking to build a database of names.

We’re looking for good people we can come to know and trust — skilled tradespeople who take genuine pride in their work, communicate well, respect our clients and their homes, and understand that reliability matters just as much as workmanship.

As our workload grows, these will be the people we turn to first when we need additional trade capacity across our projects.

We’d particularly like to hear from sole traders and small specialist crews working in:

• Carpentry & building
• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Tiling
• Vinyl & flooring installation
• Plastering & stopping
• Painting & decorating
• Other specialist residential renovation trades

You’ll need to be appropriately qualified or licensed where required, genuinely operating independently, properly insured and prepared to stand behind the quality of your work.

Just as importantly, we’re looking for people who value a good working relationship. We believe contractors should receive the same professionalism we expect from them — clear scopes, organised scheduling, good communication and respect for the work they bring to our projects.

Our work is throughout Nelson and Tasman, with opportunities offered as projects and trade requirements arise.

We’ll be selective about who becomes part of our trusted network. Not for the sake of exclusivity, but because when we bring someone onto a Taylor’D project, we’re trusting them with our clients, our reputation and the standard of work our name stands for.

☀️ OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW.

Out came the old, warped pine deck and in went this stunning new Kwila deck, making this outdoor living space much more inviting — and ready to be enjoyed this summer. 🔨

We first shared this project at the beginning of September when it was still taking shape. Now it’s finished, and what a difference!

The new Kwila deck is complete with matching timber balustrades, wide entry steps and solid timber uprights in place awaiting the new shade sail.

There’s something pretty hard to beat about fresh Kwila in the sunshine, and with this much space there’s plenty of room for the BBQ, outdoor furniture, family gatherings and long summer evenings.

This is exactly why we were talking about getting outdoor projects underway in spring rather than waiting for summer. The construction is finished, and now our clients get to spend summer enjoying it.

🔨𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗲... 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁.

This bay window had begun showing signs that something wasn't right. Once we opened it up, we uncovered deteriorated materials that needed to be remedied before the damage could spread any further.

Rather than simply patching over the problem, we carried out a full repair, including:
✔️ Removing the damaged cladding.
✔️ Inspecting and repairing the affected area.
✔️ Installing new James Hardie cladding.
✔️ Upgrading the flashing and weathertight seals.
✔️ Repairing and refinishing the internal lining and window seat.
✔️ Completing all painting and finishing work inside and out.

The result is a bay window that's not only looking like new again, but is properly protected against the weather for years to come.
