Tuber shipping for the first sale is commencing this week! As soon as I’ve divided the last 30ish crates I’ll have a second sale with varieties I didn’t have listed last time as well. My mum has arrived from Australia to help, so hopefully we’ll get through most of the orders over the next 2-3 days! Thanks for your orders, I’m so grateful you chose to shop with me 🌸

I forgot to give this seedling from last year a mention. A Strawberry Cream seedling, she wasn’t very stable and every flower came out different. I wonder what she’ll do this year 🌸

The last 75 crates are up on deck to be divided. There’s plenty of varieties like Brown Sugar and Caitlin’s Joy that I saw as I was carrying them up (thanks Bronwen for helping!), that will go up in the second sale. The second photo is one of the mammoth tubers of one of my red dinnerplates 😆 she’s going to need a large hole for that one!

Reminder: Our first dahlia tuber sale is tonight 7pm! The catalog is online and shows everything as sold out for now – the sale will go live at 7pm, and at that stage you will be able to add tubers to cart.

There will be the second main sale start of September when the remaining 75 crates of tubers have been divided – so don’t worry if you miss out tonight on a certain variety.

A note on varieties: There are around 30-40 varieties which I haven’t loaded to the site for this sale, so many more types will go up in the second sale :)

🌸🥔 DAHLIA TUBER HALFWAY SALE - tomorrow night! Sunday 16th August 7pm. This is only the first sale. I’ve divided half of my tuber clumps, so there are only about 49 varieties in this first sale, (however some of the varieties I know I still have clumps to divide, and they will be added in as we go!).

All the rest of the tubers, once divided, (I still have 75 crates to divide!), will be sold in a second sale start of September 🌸

🌸🥔 DAHLIA TUBER SALE UPDATE

I’m just over halfway dividing tubers (it’s slow going, hard work I must admit, especially with the weather interfering). I’m wondering if some might prefer I halt dividing and put up for sale all the tubers I currently have divided so far?

I’m fairly unique amongst small flower farmers in that I have a lot of varieties - around 90 so far, although some I may not have enough of to sell yet (and I still need to put my own field together for this season!)

What I’m asking is - do I do two sales? A halfway sale to let you guys order what you like, and then a second sale with all new inventory loaded to the website end of this month / early September.

No matter which sale you buy from, your orders won’t be shipped until early to mid September. Let me know! Vote in the poll below :)

Had a go making my first dried bouquet today. This one is stuffed with strawflowers, statice, billy buttons (craspedia), celosia and eucalyptus. It was really fun to make!
