What’s involved in a Lawn Reset?

Over time, dead grass and organic material can build up beneath the surface of a lawn, forming a thick layer of thatch. This can restrict air, water and nutrients from reaching the root zone and leave the lawn looking tired or patchy.

A proper Lawn Reset involves scarifying the lawn in multiple passes to remove that build-up—not simply running the machine over it once.

Afterwards, we collect and take away the debris before applying fertiliser to support recovery. If the lawn has thin or bare areas, overseeding can also be added to help improve grass density.

Together, these steps create the best possible conditions for the lawn to recover with healthier, stronger growth.

🌱 Winter Lawn Care Tips

Looking after your lawn through winter will help keep it healthy and give it the best chance of bouncing back strongly in spring.

Here are a few simple tips:

✅ Mow a little shorter than you would in summer to allow more sunlight to reach the grass. Avoid scalping it.

✅ Turn off your irrigation if your lawn is getting enough rainfall.

✅ Remove leaves and debris to improve airflow and help reduce the risk of fungal disease.

✅ Watch for lawn disease. Wet conditions and reduced sunlight can encourage fungal growth. Avoid mowing when the lawn is saturated where possible.

✅ Avoid walking on frosty lawns where possible, as frozen grass is more easily damaged.

A little care through winter can make a big difference when the warmer weather returns.
