Looking for help with these awesome jobs we have in the pipeline.

We're looking for a brushhand we can train up and an experienced painter that can hit the ground running.

Attention to detail and professionalism are a must, we deliver high quality work in terms of both how it looks and how it lasts.
Spray and plaster experience a plus.
You'll also need a license, be able to pass a drug test and police vetting and be allowed to work in NZ.

Our work is mostly in Mangawhai, paid travel if we're outside of the area. We have an awesome team, supportive work environment, great pay rates with an aim to retain staff long term by finding the right people and paying them what they're worth.

Ideally we're looking for an experienced painter / foreman and a brush hand.

Painter -
Looking for someone who can hit the ground running. Trustworthy, efficient, strong attention to detail, and good with clients. Needs to be a team player, presentable, and comfortable running tasks unsupervised.
Airless spray experience and Gib Stopping experience a massive advantage.

Brush Hand
Keen to learn, motivated, hard working and presentable. Good for someone wanting to get into the trades. Full training given.

Both roles require -
Full driver’s licence
Own transport
Ability to pass a drug test
Ability to pass police vetting

PAINTING TIP | Don’t Paint Over Peeling Paint

It may be tempting to paint straight over an old, peeling surface, but proper preparation is essential for a quality, long-lasting finish.

Before repainting:

• Check that the existing paint is firmly attached
• Remove all loose or flaking paint
• Repair cracks, holes and damaged areas
• Sand rough or uneven surfaces
• Remove dust and residue after sanding
• Apply the appropriate primer or sealer where needed

As Resene explains, an adequate degree of surface preparation is essential because the adhesion of the painting system depends on it.

Dulux NZ also recommends scraping off all loose and flaking paint and ensuring the surface is dry before proceeding.

Painting over loose or peeling paint can result in further peeling, poor adhesion and an uneven finish.

Good preparation helps create a smoother, more durable result.
