Some great laughs were had at our annual golf day last week ⛳

Platinum CEO Jamie was out on the course doing a vibe check and asking our teams how they were going.

In the wise words of Gaz from Tile Depot “we’re spectacular and fantastic at it.”

And in the equally wise words of Ben from Resene - “I won’t be quitting my day job.”

It was fantastic to bring all of our licensees and key national supply partners together for our conference. The golf day is always a highlight - a team event that gets the competitive spirit firing and the laughs flowing.

Thanks to Royal Pines on the Gold Coast for hosting a great day. Roll on next year!

Our Annual Platinum Homes Conference week kicked off on the course at RACV Royal Pines on the Gold Coast with the Harry Boxall Memorial Golf Competition ⛳

It’s always one of the most fun days of the year - plenty of laughs, some friendly rivalry and great company with the suppliers, partners and team who make what we do possible.

All golfers were out to claim the coveted winner’s trophy, but the real talk of the day was a few of our more light-hearted awards (some more prestigious than others).

Meet Brad and Angela Wheeler from Platinum Homes Waikato. 👋

With around 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Brad and Angela bring plenty of knowledge to the Waikato team, but it's their approach to working with people that really comes through.

For them, it starts with listening to what their clients actually want from their home, being approachable throughout the process and taking real care over the details on site.

As Brad puts it, when challenges come up, they're always just a conversation away from working through them together.

Exciting Progress at Our Whangārei Farmhouse!

Hi Team Platinum!

We’re back up at our beautiful Whangārei farmhouse build, and wow, what a transformation!

It’s been a little while since our last update, but our fantastic team of trades has been hard at work, and things are really starting to come together!

Here’s where we’re at:

Interior plastering and painting are now complete, giving the home a fresh new look!

Kitchen and laundry cabinetry has been installed, and the spaces are really taking shape.

Bathroom tiling is complete and looking fantastic!

Electrical work is progressing well, with our electricians almost finished wiring the switchboard. We should have lights and some power throughout the home by the end of today. And have a look at the photo of that switchboard! How tidy is that? Fantastic workmanship and attention to detail from our electrical team!

Plumbing fit-off is scheduled to commence on Monday next week.

Hardwood timber flooring – Our flooring crew arrives Monday to begin preparing the floors for the beautiful new timber finish.

Kitchen, pantry and laundry benchtops are scheduled for installation on the 21st of October, along with the final cabinetry work.

Carpet installation will follow the timber flooring work, bringing us another step closer to completion!

It’s exciting to see all the hard work, planning and attention to detail coming together in this stunning rural home.

A massive thank you to all our dedicated trades and suppliers for the incredible effort you’ve put into this project.

We’re getting closer to handing over the keys, and we can’t wait to show you the finished result!

It's one of the highlights of our year - a chance to bring our teams together from across the country, reconnect with our wider supplier network and step away from the day-to-day to focus on what's ahead.

Over a few big days, we'll be sharing ideas, celebrating the wins of the past year and planning for the future of our business. Just as importantly, it's time spent together as one team, which is something we never take for granted.

Whangārei Rural Farmhouse Update

Hi Team Platinum,

It’s always exciting to see a home really start to take shape, and our Whangārei rural farmhouse is certainly doing just that! It’s been a little over three weeks since our last update, and there’s been plenty happening behind the scenes and on site.

The GIB fixing and stopping is complete, with the cove and finishing lines completed yesterday. All the internal doors have been taken away to the spray booth for finishing, and our painters are starting on site today.

The drainlayer is also on site installing the septic tanks, so there are plenty of trades moving through and the house is really starting to come together.

She’s full steam ahead now, and we’re looking forward to sharing the next stage of this build with you.
