Happy Monday 🥳💐
We are making headway for the new season!
Had an impressive bonfire…found the egg stash! Painted a couple of things round the gardens…planted some filler flowers into the seedling rows…weeded some of the back gardens…picked some flowers 🌸
Everything has bolted with the sunny days then rain the gardens are looking so lush 👌💕

A few more jobs peeled out over the last few days!
Tidied up a messy area behind chook run… Post in ground & hung gate…Took the Morrie for a lap to Kai Takeaways to get our lunch 😋 Removed some peastraw off the Dahlia rows… Planted more seedlings in the heart garden 💕Just the Zinnias & Dahlia tubers left to go in now but will wait a couple more weeks just incase we get a surprise frost!🥶💐

Gorgeous day here in Kaitangata…We had 2 escapees first thing🐎 Got some much needed spraying done…planting…weedeating…painting.
Had a wander round,Peonies are looking awesome despite being moved a couple of times 🌸
We are so fortunate to have our property backing onto the native bush with an amazing mountain biking/walking track🤩
We took a seat up to the old Coal Mine for those that need a rest!
Was so nice with no wind today👌🌸

Happy Wednesday🤩💐
Been a busy couple of months here in Kaitangata. We have created (another) “New Garden” 😁👌This one is special and fingers crossed our vision will come to life💕We had to empty all the 12 big round drums which had Dahlias & Peonies in them (These will be now be used for firewood) Moved concrete trough & Oblisk , dug out rhododendron.
Oggie mowed the heart shape then we put down the straw…bought a truckload of compost from Silver Ferns… hired the Posi Track from AdvanceQuip in Gore(such handy machine!!)
Compost all onto garden. Hours & hours spent raking it into the perfect heart shape🩷❤️💙
All this in miserable windy wet weather the grounds are saturated!
Today was spent planting hundreds of seedlings Dwarf hollyhocks, snap dragons,larkspur,bells of Ireland,lupins for a start ( hasn’t even put a gap in the tunnel houses😂) still plenty more to plant… Dahlias, Zinnias & Cosmos won’t be planted out until Labour Weekend🌸
This will be an additional picking garden for this season’s Brides who are coming to get their Wedding Flowers & also another option for the Wedding arch to go👰‍♀️💒 It’s going to filled with all pastel coloured cut flowers & of course had to buy more Dahlias 😜
I can’t wait to see it all in flower😍😍😍We just need some sunshine now!!

Our Chrysanthemum order arrived from Suntec yesterday beautifully packaged👌🌸

Happy Thursday Everyone 🌸
Dahlias are all still asleep of course! Not long now though, can’t wait to see all those gorgeous flowers again😍We are busy creating a new garden & getting lots of planting done. Peonies are all popping up can’t wait to see them flower they had a rough start last year in the storm!
Today was an absolute stunner here in Kaitangata no wind or rain🤩
