A little rainbow of plant goodness 🌈

It’s funny looking at all these balms together and thinking about how KPL has grown over the years.

What started with a love of plants and making things for our own whānau has turned into a whole collection of handmade balms.

Kawakawa, calendula, bruise balm, headache balm, bug balm and chest balm. Each one has its own little story.

I’m always curious which ones people love the most.

The sunshine is back! ☀️

And that means I’ve been busy making another batch of our Sun Balm.

Made with tallow, coconut oil, beeswax, zinc oxide, jojoba oil and vitamin E, it’s a lovely rich balm that’s perfect for keeping skin moisturised through the warmer months.

Available in our 80g tins for $30.

Just a reminder that our Sun Balm hasn’t been SPF tested, so we can’t give it a sun protection rating.

Little gardener, big harvest!

Reef has been busy harvesting potatoes from the garden, and he’s pretty pleased with his haul!

There’s something pretty special about watching the kids grow up knowing where their food comes from. Getting their hands in the dirt, growing their own kai and experiencing the excitement of finding little treasures under the soil.

A little peek behind the scenes at KPL

Freshly poured balms cooling in their jars before they’re labelled and ready to head off to their new homes.

I still get so much satisfaction from making these little pots of goodness. From gathering and infusing plants to melting, mixing and pouring, it’s a process I really enjoy.

And the kitchen always smells pretty amazing afterwards!
