Funky job wrapped! 🛠️✨

We’ve just finished up another awesome project with our mates at Matthew Palmer Construction. This one was a killer garage extension featuring a brand-new laundry room downstairs, topped off with a sleek upper-floor office and kitchenette setup! 📐🏢

We’ve been teaming up with Matt and his crew for over 10 years now, and they never cease to amaze us. From small alterations to high-end architectural builds, their workmanship is always top-notch! 👌

Here is exactly what our team tackled to bring this extension to life:

🔍 Camera inspected drains for precise location and condition
🍳 Installed plumbing for the new kitchen, laundry, and 2x hose taps
🚽 Prepped and installed plumbing for a future toilet
💧 Connected to existing water supplies
💧 Install Stormwater and Sewer Pipework as needed
🌧️ Supplied and installed a 125mm slot drain + 2x sumps
🌀 Installed a retention tank

Big thanks to Matt and the team for another seamless collab. If you want to see some of their incredible architectural work for yourself, head over to www.matthewpalmer.nz 💻

Jake and Matt absolutely smashing it on this drainage job! 🛠️💧

The boys had a tricky setup this week, but they nailed the brief:

• Connect to the downpipe which was discharging onto the garden, causing the back yard to flood. Run a new stormwater pipe.
• Blasted under the footpath using a pressure washer to avoid cutting the path.
• Cored through the retaining wall to discharge onto the driveway.
• Backfill and reinstate the grass. 🧼✨

Love seeing this teamwork. Jake started with us as an apprentice and is now a top-notch Registered Plumber (9.5 years with DTP! 👑). Matt came through the Aotea College Gateway program and will soon complete his apprenticeship with us after nearly 5 years with the crew. Matt's a great asset and member of the DTP Team 🚀

There is nothing quite like the final plumbing fit-off. 🌟

After all the rough-in work behind the walls, getting to install the final fixtures and watch the vision come together is the ultimate reward.

Every tap and drain is tested, and the water is flowing perfectly. Take a look through the reel to see the final details dropping into place! 🛁👨‍🔧👌

Before & After: Customizing to fit the client’s vision! 🔥

Sometimes, the finishing touches make all the difference. 👌

We got a call to update this existing gas fire. The owners weren't feeling the modern look and wanted a fascia that fit the rustic aesthetic of their home.

Cam sorted it out with a quick swap, and it looks like it was always meant to be there!

Cam is our Gasfitting extraordinaire—and a stellar Plumber and Drainlayer too! Cam joined us at the beginning of this year and fit right into the team from day one. We’re stoked to have him on board bringing top-tier skills and a great attitude to every job.

Swipe to see the upgrade.👌

Huge thanks to Jason for being an absolute superstar. Jason has been with us for 17 years, starting his journey all the way back as an apprentice.

Over nearly two decades, he has grown into an incredibly knowledgeable plumber who we can always depend on to get the job done right.

We are so proud to have you on the team, Jason. Thank you for your hard work, loyalty, and dedication to our customers.

Cracked into a solid drainage and tidy-up job over in Lyall Bay! 🌊 Check out the video to see the team in action from start to finish. 🛠️

Here is exactly what we got sorted:

💧 Stormwater Fixes
• Extended the back downpipe to connect to the one closer to the manhole.
• Dug up the manhole to find the existing stormwater connection.
• Trenched from the manhole right to the downpipe.
• Laid down a fresh 110mm stormwater drain, tested it, and backfilled the trench.
• Sorted out an 80mm terminal vent that took a bit of a hit during a new roof install.
•
🌿 Backyard Tidy
• Rolled in with the 2.5-tonne truck to clear out a massive pile of excess green waste and debris.
• Hauled it all off to the tip and left the place looking spotless.
• Another job ticked off the list and ready for whatever the Wellington weather throws at it next! 💨

Got a drainage issue or a backyard that needs clearing? Drop us a DM and let's get it sorted.
