A few weeks ago, we shared a sneak peek of our trucks heading across the water in the Marlborough Sounds. Here’s how the Longbeach Boatshed foundation pour came together.
With the site reached from the water, our Blenheim team supplied 50 MPa marine concrete across seven truckloads. The trucks were transported by barge, with the delivery timed for high tide so the barge could get as close to shore as possible. From there, the concrete was pumped across the water to the foundations.
Thanks to HR Construction, who completed the concrete placing, Pumprite Concrete Service's on pump operations, and Arthouse Architects Ltd behind the design. Thanks also to Matthew Croad Photographer and Simon Devitt for capturing the construction and completed photos.
