After a couple of days of heavy rain - the weather has cleared to a somewhat grey but calm Friday in the deep south. Our Otatara build is making fantastic progress with the roof now on and the thermally broken aluminium windows going in. The builders term for this is “the house will soon be closed in”. Good timing as the days are starting to get colder and the interior work on this beautiful family home is about to get underway. Have a great weekend everyone.

Here we have a fantastic Stonewood Homes plan taking shape in central Invercargill. You will see the Vertical Linea Oblique weather boards are finished and our brickies are on site installing Firth Devonstone natural bricks. Looking very sharp indeed, our clients are getting very excited as the hand over date starts to get closer.

Floor slab to frames up in 2 days - it’s always very exciting for our clients to see the shape of their new @ Stonewood Homes taking place. Great work by our building crew - Brad and the team Highend Building limited are doing a fantastic job as usual.

Construction update from the deep south. Our builders have been working on this foundation in the beautiful area of Otatara, just on the edge of Invercargill. This fully incapsulated thermal concrete floor and foundation system is an amazing advancement in both strength and thermal technology. The system is called QuickSet and it is one of the Allied Concrete Superslab systems. Concrete technology has come along way in the last few years. Our clients certainly made the right decision here - and we know they are going to be thrilled with the result.

Construction update 3, on a beautiful sunny Thursday afternoon in the deep south. Frames are up and the super strong eco ply wrap is complete in Grasmere Invercargill. Trusses will be arriving any day. For those with a keen eye, the black flag at the front signals it’s nearly time for the roof shout.
