You may have already met Jamie Venables... 👋

After a few weeks on the job, we thought it was time for a proper introduction!

Originally from Wales, Jamie grew up around sheep, beef, dairy and cropping farms before making the move to New Zealand 13 years ago. Since then, he's built extensive experience across contracting, agricultural machinery, fertiliser application equipment, harvesting machinery, engineering and sales.

Based out of our Lorneville branch, Jamie is our one of our Sales team for Western and Northern Southland, looking after customers from Kingston through to Riverton.

Now settled in Southland with his wife and twin girls, Jamie has hit the ground running and is already out catching up with farmers and contractors across the region.

If you see Jamie out and about, be sure to stop and say hello!

Round 2 of the Southern Series Moto-X is complete with our Agricentre Yamaha riders showing some great pace over the weekend!

Jacob Vink 118 holding 3rd overall in the premier MX1 class. Bert Waldron 188 showing some good pace before a couple of bike issues from a collision in race 1 meant the end of race 2, but came back strong in race 3. Monty Anderson 714 had a great day on the 85.

Bike prep week before we do it all again in Poolburn this weekend for round 3, get at it boys!

☀️ Another machine straight into action!

Great to see the new KUHN 6-metre power harrow putting in the work at Glendhu Dairies, paired up with their Case IH Optum 250 and getting winter crop ground prepared in Northern Southland.

New KUHN heading to Tokanui!

This KUHN GMD 4015 is a serious bit of mowing gear, with a 3.95 m working width and KUHN's LIFT-CONTROL system designed to keep the cutter bar following the ground, even over uneven country.

A tidy-looking setup and one that'll certainly cover a bit of ground!

From the regional finals in Otago Southland to taking the trophy at New Plymouth, NZ Young Farmer of the Year Tom Slee took home his well deserved TD5.90 to Lillburn Valley this week.

We are privileged to recognise the hard work, dedication and passion in young farmers across New Zealand each year alongside .
