⚡ WOULD YOU BE PREPARED IF A MAJOR EARTHQUAKE HIT? 🌏

With the recent earthquakes reminding us that things can change very quickly, it got us thinking… if a major earthquake hit the West Coast, would your home, business or farm be prepared for a power outage?

Our team recently installed this Mains/Generator Changeover Switch, allowing a generator to safely supply power to selected circuits when mains power is unavailable. 🔌⚡

🏠 Home – keep essentials like lights, refrigeration and heating running.
🏢 Business – minimise downtime and keep critical equipment operating.
🚜 Farm – keep essential equipment and operations running during an outage.

Don’t have a generator? No problem! We can install the mains/generator changeover switch AND supply a suitable generator, giving you a complete backup power solution.

You can’t predict when the next major earthquake or extended power outage will happen — but you can be prepared.

📞 Talk to our team at Delore Electrical & Heatpumps today about backup power for your home, business or farm.

🏐 SEMI-FINAL TIME! 🏐

Tomorrow at 1:00pm, our Delore Sparks girls take to the court for their semi-final! 💙🔥

After all this beautiful weather we’ve been enjoying, tomorrow is looking like a rainy one… so what better way to spend your afternoon than getting down to the Westland Sports Hub and supporting Hoki Netball! 🙌🏐

There are 8 games throughout the day, so there’s plenty of netball action to get along and watch! Some fantastic games are sure to be played, so grab your family, rug up and come show your support for our local netballers. 💙

And there’s an extra reason to get along… 👀🏐
We’ve heard a little rumour that this might be our office lady Rach’s last game of netball!
UNLESS… the girls take the win tomorrow! 🤞🔥 If they do, you’ll get to see Rach and the Delore Sparks back on court next weekend for one more game in the finals! 🏆🏐

So let’s get behind the girls, cheer them on and hopefully keep Rach’s netball career going for just a little bit longer! 😂💙⚡

We’re wishing our Delore Sparks the very best of luck! Play hard, enjoy the game and leave it all out on the court! 💪⚡

A service is cheaper than a breakdown! ❄️🔥

Winter has well and truly hit its stride here on the West Coast, and your heat pump is working hard to keep your home warm.

If you haven’t had your heat pump serviced recently, there’s a good chance it’s not running at full capacity.
Dirty filters, blocked coils and worn components can all reduce efficiency, meaning your heat pump has to work harder — and that can mean higher power bills.

And remember… it’s a lot cheaper to service your heat pump than it is to fix a breakdown! 💰

Regular servicing can help:
✔️ Keep your heat pump running efficiently
✔️ Reduce unnecessary power consumption
✔️ Catch small issues before they become expensive repairs
✔️ Keep your home warmer and more comfortable
✔️ Extend the life of your heat pump

Don’t wait until it stops working on the coldest day of winter! 🥶

🔧 We offer heat pump servicing throughout the West Coast region. So, if yours is due for some attention, get in touch with us to learn more or book your spot.

A little maintenance now can save you a much bigger bill later. ❄️

A huge thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding while we were away. We really appreciate you giving us the time to switch off, recharge and enjoy some precious family time. 🥰

We have a number of emails and voicemail messages to work our way through, so please bear with us while Rach gets through everything over the next few days. 📧📞

We’ll be back in touch as soon as we can!

For now, here are a few snaps from our week away… ☀️❤️
Can you guess where we went? 👀🌴✈️

Thanks again for your patience — it’s good to be home! ⚡️

💰❄️ Is Your Heat Pump Costing You More Than It Should This Winter? ❄️💰

With power prices continuing to rise, making sure your heat pump is running efficiently can help keep your home warm and your power bills down.

A few simple tips can make a big difference:
✅ Clean your filters regularly.
✅Choose a comfortable temperature and let your heat pump do the work.
✅ Keep doors and curtains closed to hold the heat in.
✅ Keep the outdoor unit clear of leaves and debris.
✅ Avoid constantly turning it on and off—maintaining a steady temperature is usually more efficient.
✅ Don't block the airflow. keep furniture, curtains & other items away from the indoor unit.
✅ Book regular servicing

Older or incorrectly sized units often use more electricity than modern, energy-efficient models. A correctly sized Mitsubishi Electric heat pump can keep your home warmer while using less power.

At Delore Electrical & Heatpumps Ltd, we can help you find the perfect heat pump for your home with a FREE, no-obligation quote. Or we can service your existing heat pump to make sure it's running as efficiently as possible.

📞 Get in touch today and stay warm this winter while keeping those power bills under control! ❄️🔥

🌴 We're Taking a Short Break 🌴

From Thursday 23rd July until Monday 3rd August, Dave and Rach will be away from the office enjoying some much-needed family time.

If we're being honest, we feel incredibly guilty stepping away. As a small family business, it's never easy to leave when we know there are jobs to do, calls to answer, and customers relying on us.

But one thing we've come to realise is that you can replace almost anything... except time. ❤️
Time with our family is something we can never get back, and we're choosing to spend this precious time making memories with the people who matter most.🥰

The work will still be here when we return, but these moments with our family are truly priceless.

During this time, we won't have access to emails or messages, so we'll get back to everyone as soon as we return on Monday 3rd August.

Thank you so much for your understanding, patience, and continued support of our little family business. It truly means the world to us, and we can't wait to be back, refreshed and ready to help you all again.

See you all on Monday 3rd August! 💙⚡

💙Dave & Rach💙
