Well i've never been this excited to post photos of a roof before!

Glad to see the builders are on board with photographing progress!
Turns out, when you've got blue skies, a hardworking crew and quality craftsmanship, even a roof becomes the star of the show!

The team in Franz Josef worked solidly through the weekend to make the most of the weather and get this beauty under cover. Thanks Reece Hopper and Daniel Blight.

It's time for one of our favourite parts of the building journey, our 12-month maintenance pop in.

This week we were back in Greymouth to check in on one of the homes we completed last year. As part of our commitment to quality, we return after 12 months to ensure everything is performing as it should and to take care of any minor maintenance items. On this visit, it was just a couple of small paint touch-ups and remedying an issue with a tap, that's how we like it!

It's always rewarding to see how a house has become a home, with each family adding their own personality and making the space truly theirs.

Seeing happy homeowners enjoying their new home is what it's all about. Thank you for welcoming us back, we're delighted everything is looking great!

Well, the modelling careers didn't quite take off.

Fortunately, the boys kept their day jobs. The prep work is continuing so that everything is ready for the plumbers and the concrete crew to do their thing.

Here's a look at how things are coming along.

CAREER UPDATE

Daniel and Reece's modelling careers have officially taken off.

The fame is already going to their heads. Reece has requested a dressing room with bottled sparkling water, Daniel won't sign anything without his manager present, and we're pretty sure both are expecting calls from the next season of NZ's Top Tradie Model.

These days they're not just builders. Between roofing, flooring, concrete, building supplies and everything in between, they've apparently developed the complete skill set.

Kind of like Stonewood Homes.

Because building a home isn't just about putting up the frame. It's about every part of the journey, from the foundations and concrete, to the flooring under your feet, right through to the roof over your head.

Of course, Daniel and Reece know they're not doing it all alone. We're lucky to work alongside a fantastic team of specialist trades and suppliers who bring their expertise to every home we build.

That's why we work with NZ's best trusted suppliers like PlaceMakers, firth, Belgotex New Zealand , Newtech Bathroomware and COLORSTEEL, helping us deliver quality homes from start to finish.

And before anyone asks... yes, the images are AI. A sense of humour is always a great quality, and if Daniel and Reece are willing to become unwilling models for the day, we're willing to have a bit of fun with it.

P.S. To all our other tradies and subcontractors, consider this your warning. Your modelling career could be next.

I asked the Franz crew for some photos of the latest progress on site so I could give everyone an update.

What I received was two photos:

1. Daniel Blight
2. Reece Hopper

Cheeky.

No walls.
No framing.
No building progress.

Just two blokes who clearly reckon they're better looking than the project they're working on. Judging by the heavenly glow around their heads, they may even have a case.

So today's official site update is:

Daniel ✔️
Reece ✔️

That's it. That's the update.

The boys are alive, well, and on site. The status of the actual building work remains unconfirmed at this stage. Further enquiries are underway.
