A little Country Christmas has arrived The collective

It wasn't until I'd packed everything up for the evening, headed home and zoomed in on my photos that I realised I'd forgotten one rather important detail... to actually WRITE something on the sign I'd painted! 😂

A little Middle earth Christmas magic has arrived at Caffeinate Hāwera! Gandalf and the hobbits are bringing some festive cheer to the Shire with a coffee break along the way!

I had such a lovely time painting these windows, I had so many people stopping for a chat, it was just awesome! Man I love our town!

And just like that, the Christmas windows have begun!

Snack Shack Bakery Eltham has the cutest little gingerbread men... or gingerbread people? Either way, they're looking pretty sweet!

First Christmas window of the season done, and plenty more festive fun to come!

A huge thank you to everyone who has been in touch and booked their Christmas windows! All spaces are now allocated!

I'm so sorry to those who missed out. Some days I really wish I could clone myself so I could fit in more windows!

You might spot me out and about starting the Christmas windows a little earlier this year. Life at home is a wee bit busier at the moment so we've had to make a few adjustments to how Mel The Painter operates.

Thank you all so much for your continued support and for keeping me busy. It truly means a lot and I'm so grateful to be part of making our town a little brighter at Christmas time.

SouthTaranakiOutdoorpower has a fabulous new window.

A bit of colour and fun for South Taranaki Outdoor & Power!

Two windows two very different adventures! One for the lawn mowing enthusiasts and the other for the little ones who love getting out on their bikes!

I had so much fun bringing these characters to life and I love how the two windows work together to tell a little story.

A big thank you to Simon and the team at South Taranaki Outdoor & Power for trusting me with your windows!

Next time you're walking past, have a look. They're definitely hard to miss!!

I love chatting away to people while I paint. It really does make my day!

I’ve had so many people stop lately to say hello and thank me for brightening up the town and it honestly means so much. I really do love what I do and hearing that other people enjoy seeing the windows come to life makes it even better.

Today, one lovely person even bought me a coffee while I was painting. Thank you so much, it was very much appreciated, especially on a cold morning!

Another day doing what I love ❤️

Well, I gave it a good go today, but the wind won out in the end!

Our main street is a wind tunnel and when you're trying to paint fine black outlines in gusts, it poses a bit of a problem!

I'm not even going to talk about how many layers I wore today and it was STILL freezing!!!

Looking forward to a cold morning, but a lot less wind tomorrow!
