So much inspiration in this home!
Here is a peak inside the new Platinum Homes Hawkes Bay Show Home in Mission Hills.

As much as this is a showcase of this stunning home, our focus is on the clever and considered electrical features that we installed!

You can now view this new showhome at 17 Mission Hills Drive, Poraiti, Napier.

Something about this one was different!
Our team are still talking about the Shelly Automation training - it's such a clever home automation solution.
Huge thanks to Hanna and Paige from J. A. Russell Ltd Hastings for putting on the delish BBQ brekkie while we learned!

Shelly is a ’home automation’ brand that has recently expanded into New Zealand.
They specialise in retrofit solutions for automation of existing homes and buildings - so once you get Shelly installed, you can control lighting, heating or appliances and turn them on or off from an app on your phone.

We are home automation nerds, so we're pumped to have another way to do it for clients who need retrofit solutions.

If you want to chat about automating part (or all!) of your home, call us on 0800 786 4787.

We’ve recently wrapped up the electrical work on this community housing project in Wairoa. It’s been awesome being part of helping to create warm, safe and practical homes for local families.

We’re proud to play our part in this project that will make a real difference to the people who will live here soon.

Please don't blow your fuse while charging your car!
We get asked a lot of questions about EVs (electric vehicles) and EV chargers, so here is Nic's take.

Not all EV chargers are created equal. The one you got from the car dealer when you purchased your EV should only be used in emergencies.

Please do your research and install a charger that is going to be efficient and use the correct amount of power to charge your car. We personally use and install Evnex chargers across Hawke's Bay.

If you want to pair it with solar - even better! Then you can use excess power to charge your car and make it even more cost effective!

If you want any more EV advice, call us on 0800 786 4787, or jump into the Contact Us page on our website (linked in bio).

J. A. Russell Ltd Hastings and Legrand showcased Inspyra, a new range of switches and sockets. Local tradies were invited along at lunchtime to check out the products and enjoy a Mr Whippy ice cream—the perfect treat on a hot spring day!

Sparky enjoyed inspecting the new range almost as much as his icecream.

Fisher & Paykel New Campus Tour!

Our supplier invited us on a tour of the new
Fisher & Paykel campus in Auckland!

Our Owners Nic & Lorraine went on the tour, and their two daughters came along too.

IT WAS SERIOUSLY IMPRESSIVE.

This campus is a luxury appliance innovation centre for research, industrial design, engineering, marketing, digital product design, testing and green energy solutions.

We got to see their latest models and some new products too!
The design, the creativity, and the sustainability features were so inspiring to us.

We’re excited to see what innovation comes out of the campus next, and keep recommending and installing Fisher & Paykel appliances and home solutions!

Nic & Joe went to the Conference, up in Auckland.
We met up with other business owners, heard from industry professionals from Trade Master, J.A. Russell, and the keynote speaker Paddy Gower.

We also saw innovative new product demonstrations, and got to enjoy the opportunity to spend time with everyone afterwards!
