Beautiful new build taking shape in Pirongia for the team at Ebode Homes | SIPs Homes

We’re at pre-line stage this week, running all the pipe work through to the bathrooms, showers, bath and hot water cylinder.

Every one of our builds runs on from our mates at Reece Plumbing NZ Brass copper crimp, no o-rings, less chance of failure, and one of the highest usage rates in the southern hemisphere. Good gear makes for a good job.

Site prep underway in Chartwell for the team at Higgs Building Co | Builders

We’re excavating out for the new pad on this exciting build. High water table on this one, so we’ve been patient and waited for the right weather window to get in, get it done, and keep it tidy.

Next steps: pad goes down, then we’re back in a couple of weeks for underfloor drainage and drainage works, all wrapped up before frames and trusses arrive. Always a pleasure working with the Higgs crew.

Our latest completed project at Marine Parade. One home, two very different hot water needs, off one smart setup.

At peak it heats water for up to 35 people. For 80% of the year, just two. Rather than a thousand-litre cylinder heating water nobody’s using, we went gas continuous flow, heating only what’s needed. A standard Infinity unit runs the back of the house, an Infinity ring main runs the front, kitchen, scullery, ensuite, bar and laundry. Plus a full ring main around the section for cow-shed spec wash-down hoses.
