The Realities of Small Business
Not every day looks glamorous. Most mornings start before the kids even wake up, laptops open and coffee in hand, trying to get through paperwork before the sun comes up (I have a day job too) Some nights it’s quotes and invoices in our PJs, or planning the next job while the tamariki sleep.
We both came from humble beginnings. Growing up, we learned the value of hard work and how to make do with what we had from our parents. We never imagined we’d one day own a business, let alone be recognised for sustainability and win that award! The Generator believed in us from the very start and helped us get our feet on the ground when we were just finding our way.
Now, as small business owners, we’re still learning, still growing, and still figuring it out. Every early morning, every long day, and every small win reminds us how far we’ve come and how grateful we are for everyone who’s helped along the way.
When we look at these photos, one in our PJs and one holding a sustainability award from @
The Generator, they are worlds apart, very nice to mix it up and get out of the PJs every now and then. 😂
He mihi nui ki a koutou katoa e tautoko ana i a mātou i tēnei haerenga. Ka kore koutou, kāore mātou e taea.(Sorry if the reo isn't 💯 😅).
(A huge thank you to everyone who supports us on this journey. Without you, we couldn’t do it.)
