CAMPBELL TRANSPORTABLE UPDATE

We met our clients out there today to chat through the outside finishes, and we're pretty sure you couldn't ask for a better view to have while making those decisions! 😍

There's been plenty happening on site too — our plumber was busy working on the drainage, while our digger contractor was getting stuck into the groundworks for the water tanks. The drainage inspection also passed today, so we're right on track to get everything finished up and ready for our clients to move in.

And we have to say... **we love the colours of this home!** 👌

It's always exciting when a transportable leaves the yard and starts becoming a home in its new surroundings.

🔨 Two Casual Labouring Positions Available

We’re looking for two reliable young people to join the Adam Newton Homes team on a casual basis.

These roles would ideally suit someone still at school and considering a trade, or someone who has recently left school and wants to work towards an apprenticeship.

Casual to begin with, with the opportunity to move into full-time work and potentially an apprenticeship for the right people.

The basics we expect:

Turn up on time
Keep your phone in your pocket
Listen and follow instructions
Show initiative
Be willing to work and learn

OUT OF OFFICE! 🥳🔨

Yesterday we swapped the office and the tools for a team-building day in Dunedin!

We kicked things off with the Speight’s Brewery Tour 🍻 — learning a little history, seeing behind the scenes and, of course, enjoying a tasting!

Then the competitive side came out with laser tag and axe throwing 🎯🪓. There’s definitely been a few bragging rights up for grabs and plenty of laughs along the way!

A great opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, have a break, enjoy some fun together and strengthen our team

The Transportable Homes Are Underway!

We're pretty excited to have building consent issued for our Slope Point and Lowther transportable homes — the first two of seven homes you'll be seeing pop up around the Adam Newton Homes yard!

The floors are already underway, with the frames due to arrive over the next few weeks. From there, things will really start to take shape!

With seven transportable homes on the go, there's going to be plenty happening in the yard over the coming months. We'll be sharing the progress along the way, so watch this space!

Meet Paul Kelly

Paul is one of our Site Foremen and has been part of the Adam Newton Homes team for the past five years.

With nine years in the building industry, Paul is currently working on The Eyrie in Croydon alongside Chris and Ace, helping keep things moving on site and making sure everything is where it needs to be.

We're lucky to have Paul's experience and steady approach as part of the team.

When he's not on site, Paul enjoys watching the rugby and spending time with his family.

VENLAW HOME UPDATE

What a week at Venlaw!

Last Friday the concrete was poured, Monday we had a finished slab, and by Tuesday the frames were standing!

Seven of the Adam Newton Homes team headed down to site and went hard to get the frames up. Our client even popped out for a drive on Tuesday afternoon and couldn't believe how much had happened in just a few days!

And if the photos are anything to go by, Southland Spring decided to throw every season at us while we were at it.

This special off-grid home is really starting to take shape now. We can't wait to share what's next!

FLOOR PLAN FEATURE - GARSTON

You might recognise this one! The Garston floor plan was the plan behind the home we recently built for the Southern Field Days, which was auctioned off with net proceeds going towards supporting the incredible work of the Southland Rural Support Trust.

This is a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home, designed with practical family living in mind. By pairing the floor plan with some photos of the finished home, you can see how the spaces come together in real life.

And there's more to come... 👀

We're currently working on this same floor plan with another client, so we'll have another Garston Home to share with you before too long.
