We are hiring a Stock & Stores Assistant!

IMG is looking for a reliable and organised Stock & Stores Assistant to join our team in East Tamaki!

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, keeping things organised and supporting a busy engineering team. Duties include managing the stores counter, issuing tools and stock, coordinating work orders, receiving freight and helping with inventory control.

Forklift experience, good written and computer skills and strong attention to detail are an advantage. Some engineering or mechanical knowledge would also be beneficial.

Location: East Tamaki, Auckland

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 6:00am and 4:30pm.

Our team is carrying out a specialist repair on the slew column of a HIAB crane, addressing an oil leak within the slew section.

Following inspection and disassembly, damage was identified on the seal running surface. Our team is precision machining the surface back to specification before reassembly with new seals.

By restoring the existing component rather than replacing major parts, we’re delivering a practical, cost-effective repair to help return the crane to reliable service.

From heavy diesel and hydraulic repairs through to precision machining, IMG offers end-to-end engineering solutions under one roof. Our integrated capabilities allow us to manage complex repairs from assessment through to completion, helping keep our customers’ equipment operating reliably.

We've got some impressive crane cylinders moving through the workshop at the moment.

- 65T Carbon Fibre Boom Cylinder (Black)
Currently in for a full service and reseal. The cylinder has arrived at our facility and is awaiting strip-down and inspection, where our team will assess all internal components before returning it to service.

- 350T Crane Luff Cylinder (Yellow)
Originally booked for a routine service and reseal, inspection identified damage to the rod requiring specialist repairs. With repairs now complete, the cylinder is being prepared for reassembly and final testing before returning to operation.

At IMG, we don't just replace seals. We inspect, diagnose, repair, and restore critical hydraulic components to maximise reliability and minimise downtime.

A new chapter for IMG in the Bay of Plenty.

We’re bringing our Kawerau operations together with our Rotorua Central Workshop, creating a stronger regional hub for our customers and our people.
By consolidating our Kawerau operations into our Rotorua workshop, we’re bringing our fabrication, welding, civils and hydraulic capabilities together under one roof to create a full-service engineering centre.

This represents a significant investment in our Rotorua operations, including upgraded facilities and equipment such as overhead cranes. Bringing our capabilities together will increase our capacity, improve turnaround times and give customers access to a broader range of specialist engineering services from one location.

While Rotorua will become our central North Island hub, our teams will continue supporting customers across the wider Bay of Plenty and throughout the North Island.

For IMG, this is about building a stronger foundation for the future. It reflects our long-term commitment to Rotorua, the Bay of Plenty and the industries we support across the region.

We’re excited about what this next step means for our people, our customers and the wider Rotorua and Bay of Plenty business community.

IMG is looking for a qualified Carpenter to join our team in Rotorua.

This is a permanent role with plenty of variety, working across Rotorua, the Eastern Bay of Plenty and Kinleith on carpentry, construction, maintenance, projects and on customer sites.

You’ll be part of a wider engineering team working across civil, fabrication, hydraulics, heavy diesel and more.

We’re looking for someone who:
• Is trade qualified in Carpentry
• Has 3+ years’ experience as a qualified Carpenter
• Holds a full NZ driver's licence
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Is willing to travel across the region as required
