Celebrating our Electrical Apprentices: Caitlin Hand and Casey Henry

Caitlin Hand received the Otago Polytechnic 1st Year Apprentice of the Year Award, for her commitment to high achievement in her 1st year of apprenticeship. Caitlin’s Lecturer stated that her “efficient and continuous work effort is inspiring”. Well done Caitlin!

Casey Henry featured in the Otago Daily Times yesterday through EarnLearn ; his journey from a 15-year career as a chef to an electrical apprenticeship in our Industrial department. He has enjoyed working on a wide variety of projects, including building batteries for a solar powercrate destined for the remote Solomon Islands.

Aotea Electric Southern is lucky to be able to employ a large number of apprentices, and our diverse portfolio of services exposes them to a wide range of skills and experience to become the next best generation of Sparkies!

Aotea Southern Solar’s latest project is underway at Te Rūnanga o Ōtākou , where our team is installing 45 solar panels to support a more sustainable future.
