We have an IQP (Independently Qualified Person) to test your backflow valve.
Backflow devices prevent contamination of the water supply and is often required by council to be installed at both commercial sometimes residential properties. The type required depends on the risk that the activities pose to the water supply.

Freezing temperatures can result in frost damage to your gas water heater. Even though most models have frost protection it wont protect the unit in all situations.
If you see water coming out of your gas water heater or it is not supplying hot water and there have been recent frosts, it may have damaged your unit.
