Member Services
Civil Construction New Zealand ensures that the voices and views of members and the industry as a whole are heard when and where it counts. CCNZ maintains close links with central and local government, and with all relevant industry organisations. Members receive many tangible benefits including:
n3 - Business Buying Power
All CCNZ Contracting and Major Associate members can sign up to n3 membership at no cost (formerly GSB). n3 is New Zealand's biggest Business Trading Network and can save you money with over 100 suppliers. Most of the suppliers you will already know well and you can save money with your existing Trade accounts or open new ones. There's also a Trade Card you can use in store at over 24 suppliers, or the Employee Benefits, which shares the discounts with your team. Branch Meetings
You will be invited to attend regular branch meetings and social functions. Branch meetings provide an opportunity for you to meet with fellow contractors and some of the best suppliers to the industry. Members Guide
This guide contains information on how to use your membership. The real money saving benefits in this book include:

n3 business buying power - discount scheme
Fuel Scheme with Z Energy
Contractors Guarantee (Builtin)
Technical Advice

Contractors' Guarantee
The Builtin Contractors Guarantee is designed to provide peace of mind for you and your clients and is available only to CCNZ members. Government Representation
CCNZ ensures that the industry's views are represented at all levels of government. Links are maintained with: Cabinet Ministers; Members of Parliament; Parliamentary Select Committees; political parties; and the following central government agencies. Local Government
CCNZ ensures that the industry’s views are represented at local government and maintains close links with local government because of their importance to contractors as a major user of their services, and also as a competitor in service delivery. National office is able to assist members in their dealings with councils at a local level. Close links are maintained with the national organisation of local government – Local Government New Zealand which has its national office in Wellington. Annual Conference
Each year members receive an invitation to attend the annual conference to hear about and discuss issues of concern to contractors. The AGM is held during the conference and you will have the opportunity to decide on the CCNZ business plan and elect the governing body – the Executive Council. You will also be able to enjoy the fellowship of other contractors attending the conference. If you cannot attend the AGM you will still be able to let someone vote for you by proxy. CCNZ / Hirepool Construction Awards
Members are invited to enter the annual Hirepool Construction Awards which recognises excellence in the New Zealand construction industry. Information on the awards and application forms are sent out each year in April. Please contact Malcolm Abernethy for more information. CCNZ / Z Energy People Awards
The Z Energy People Awards were developed by CCNZ with the assistance of Z Energy to recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals within the civil construction Industry. National Excavator Operator Competition (NEOC)
Each year CCNZ provides the opportunity for excavator operators to compete for the national title of 'best multi-skilled excavator operator nation wide'. Competitions are held in most regions with the national title being competed for each year at the Central Districts Field Days in Fielding during March. Prizes competed for change annually but generally have a value around $3000.00. Contractor Magazine
Contractor magazine is the voice of New Zealand's civil contracting industry. It offers readers relevant, informative news, views and features on all events affecting the wider contracting industry. Contractor explores the projects the industry is talking about as well as the people behind the projects. It also looks at recruitment and training, health and safety issues, international contracting trends and new products and services in the industry. Education and Training
Contact CCNZ about the latest training available - generally held during the winter season. Civil Talk
CCNZ's six-weekly e-Newsletters keep members informed about the latest happenings, compliance and health and safety changes in the industry and also what's going on at CCNZ. Publications
CCNZ has a number of booklets that it produces to assist members with information they require. Annual Report
Each year members receive a comprehensive annual report on CCNZ's activities and finances, reporting progress against the approved business plan. This includes vision and strategy focuses for the coming year.
