An iron roof Curtis restored this week for a very happy customer. As the rust was not under any laps or flashings with Kowhai we have a system to stop the rust and after our protective coating system we were able to save our client thousands $$$ 😎

Current exterior in Waikouaiti on this beautiful winter day. Owner asked us to paint the weatherboards and the higher areas while he took care of the windows and verandah to put his touch on it. We are happy to work in with your needs in any way sees fit. 😎

FINALLY HOME
Here’s the Big One Team

After one of the biggest an craziest most exhausting weeks we’ve ever had with EVLMK5 we’ve finally made it back to Southland.
And looking back…

It all started with a massive week with our Kirkwood Motorsport family, getting Miss Ralph ready
That week alone was full of laughs, late nights, hard work, bloody good people and memories that we’ll be talking about for a long time.

Then a trip over the Hill to the god of the Rotor engine builder Brent Curran work shop to help a wee bit getting MUNTED ready for the bro Cruise Mauro and we all know he done an amazing job of that engine it was the loudest machine there.

Then Friday morning Chrome NZ BOUND!

We arrived got set up and soaked it all in. Friday was about the show the atmosphere catching up with people and enjoying being surrounded by some of the best people in the scene.

Then Saturday MEREMERE.
Time to put EVLMK5 into the Pro Burnouts.
And yeah… it didn’t go how we wanted.
I’ll put my hand straight up THAT ONE WAS ON ME.
Driver error. I simply didn’t have my game on.
But you know what
That’s racing. That’s burnouts. That’s motorsport.
Sometimes you absolutely nail it… and sometimes you f**k it up.

But we didn’t let it ruin the weekend. We were surrounded by awesome people, having a bloody good time, and that’s what this whole journey is about.

Then came SUNDAY.
And what a day!
We rolled over, had an absolute mean day Power skids were on then popped a set on the Hampton Downs Pad
That was the moment where all the kilometres, all the work, all the stress, all the late nights and all the bu****it was worth it The weekend Come to an end.

Then it was pack-up time.
Back to Te Puke get everything sorted and prepare for the monster drive home.
Monday morning… 4,000-ODD KILOMETRES DONE.
We finally rolled back into Southland last night absolutely FU***NG WRECKED.

But sitting here now I’m bloody proud.
Proud of EVLMK5.
Proud of our crew.
Proud of the people who have stood behind us.
Proud of the people we’ve met along the way.
And honestly bloody emotional thinking about how far this car has come.

SHE’S NOT COMING HOME YET.

We’ve left the old girl UP NORTH IN GOOD HANDS Thanks to Hayden Swanga Kirkwood ready and waiting for our NEXT EVENT IN SEPTEMBER AutoFest

So we’re not done.
Not even close.
We’ve got a few weeks to recover, regroup, get our heads back in the game…
And then WE’RE COMING BACK.
