Anti-flotation feet can be added to septic tanks where ground conditions create a risk of the tank lifting due to groundwater pressure. The extended concrete base helps resist buoyancy and provides additional stability, particularly in areas with a high water table or saturated ground.

Looking back into the archives a bit with this one.

Wade supplied the precast concrete components for this farm bridge at Aranga, creating a stream crossing for livestock and farm vehicles. Judging by the last photo, it got a decent test when the stream came up too.

This Paihia property required substantial on-site water storage, with two Wade 23,000 L Oval Water Tanks providing a combined 46,000 L capacity.

Installed alongside the new home, the oval design provides significant storage while keeping the overall footprint relatively compact on the sloping coastal site.

The tanks were supplied through Adams Plumbing & Drainage.

This aerial view of the Wade site shows the precast yard more than 50 years ago, including rows of concrete troughs waiting in the yard.

The products and manufacturing methods have changed over the years, but Wade is still making precast concrete here in Dargaville for farms, properties and projects across Northland.

Been a busy couple of weeks, with three water tanks heading out of the yard on Thursday and Friday last week.

With summer on the way, we’ve had plenty of people getting ahead of their water storage and getting tanks in before the dry weather arrives.

These two 23,000L concrete water tanks headed out with Northland Crane & Cartage . That’s 46,000 litres of storage on the back of one truck.

A mixed load heading out of the yard today with Alden Chick Transport: eight concrete troughs and a sump.

The troughs are a familiar sight, but we’re seeing a bit more interest in sumps as farmers look more closely at how effluent and runoff are collected and managed around yards, sheds and other hardstand areas.

Another 23,000L oval tank out the gate.

This one left the Wade yard yesterday with Northland Crane & Cartage, fitted with anti-flotation feet for an underground installation.

The feet help anchor the tank and reduce the risk of it lifting or floating once buried.

The oval shape also keeps the overall transport width down, meaning a tank this size can be delivered without the need for a pilot vehicle.

23,000 litres. Precast concrete. Built for practical installation and transport.

Made here in Dargaville and delivered to site.

If you’re further away, that’s no problem. We can also supply and ship Wade troughs direct to Farm Source customers, or direct to your farm.
