Pretty bluebells in three colours under this maple. With some new quite large areas of bluebells in the garden it's a shame they might have finished by the time of our open day in November (Windwhistle Wander - 14th November) but loving all the Spring flowers at the moment.

This kowhai is always early and the bellbirds really enjoy that winter feed. I think it is a North Island one but was here when we arrived over 30 years ago. The photo was taken on a cloudy day so you can see how brightly coloured it is with lots of flowers.
