Supporting Our Team Beyond the Workplace.
At Lume Windows + Doors, we believe in supporting our people to achieve great things, both inside and outside of work.
That’s why we’re proud to sponsor our Project Manager/Estimator, Tia as she participates in a 12 week boxing programme centred around growth, courage, fitness, and community.
This has been a completely new challenge for her, and we’ve watched with admiration as she’s trained hard, stayed committed, and pushed herself further than she thought possible.
The courage it takes to step into the ring for the first time is something special, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything she has achieved throughout this journey.
We’re looking forward to being there on Saturday, 19 September to cheer her on and celebrate all the hard work she’s put in.
Let’s get behind her and wish her the very best
FIGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FIVE
Tia Reriti (Ngāi Tūāhuriri) vs Kiana Hepi (Waikato Tainui)
Tia has two settings: lifting heavy s**t or talking her mates into bad decisions.
The gym is her second home, she's keen for just about any physical challenge, and attacks fitness with the same intensity most people reserve for avoiding it. Somewhere there's a rest day on her calendar that's still waiting to be used.
When she's not at the gym or being the bossy project manager at Lume Windows, you'd usually find her halfway through organising a decent bender. But not this year.
She's traded pints for protein shakes, nights out for early mornings, and committed herself completely to the kaupapa. That's the kind of discipline that deserves respect... although Christchurch's hospitality industry has reportedly taken a noticeable financial hit.
After twelve weeks without a Pinot noir, Tia's got a fair bit of built-up energy. Lucky for her, on September 19 she'll have somewhere perfectly acceptable to let it all out.
Kiana says she’s “a single mama on a side quest.” Most side quests involve finding lost items or helping strangers. Hers somehow escalated into boxing gloves and a sanctioned boxing event.
She works full time, raises her son, plays netball, plays softball, reads books, and somehow still decided stepping into a boxing ring was the logical next step.
The scary part is that Kiana says she’s fallen in love with boxing and finds it “addictive.” That’s not the sentence you want to hear from someone who already juggles work, parenting, netball, softball, and apparently still has enough energy left to enjoy getting punched in the face.
One has spent twelve weeks suppressing a wine-fuelled social life.
The other has spent twelve weeks proving that mums on a side quest are genuinely dangerous.
Tia’s coming in with enough pent-up chaos to start a party.
Kiana’s coming in with the calm confidence of someone who’s already survived work, parenting, netball, softball, and a bedtime routine.
This one’s not just Ngāi Tahu vs Waikato Tainui.
It’s protein shakes vs side quests.
12 weeks of mahi. One night in the ring.
Who’s got this one?
