Last week we shared their handover. This is what they come home to every day.

A character home in a modern colonial style, finished to their own taste.

Black double front doors welcome you in. The kitchen has an English country feel, with lantern pendants over the island. There’s a scullery with open shelves, a fireplace in the living room, and black grid French doors to the outdoors.

We designed this one for exactly that family.

Lot 93 Camden is a brand-new house and land package, coming soon on a 904m² section, so there’s space for a bigger home and a proper back yard where the kids can play freely.

And it’s for people who care about the details. Board and batten, a stone entry and bagged brick give it a frontage that won’t look like the rest of the street. The colours are still under wraps, which is why we’re showing it in black and white for now.

Keys handed over in Harewood.

These clients came to us wanting a bespoke home with character they chose themselves. A modern colonial home. Black grid windows are the feature, with French doors to the outdoors and lantern pendants over the island. The kitchen has an English country feel. Every detail was theirs.

Three weeks ago, we showed you a plan with no name. You sent us your ideas, and now it has one.

Meet the Cromwell.

Inspired by Central Otago, it pairs schist, timber and plaster for a look that's rugged but modern. The garage door hides behind timber cladding, timber fins frame the plaster wing, and the schist ties it all together.

Inside its 238m², you'll find four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two living rooms, so everyone gets their own corner.

We've got them building a number of our homes across Christchurch, from Prebbleton to our Oakbridge builds.

If Prebbleton's never made your list, you're not the only one, and that's worth changing.

It's easy to default to the suburbs everyone already knows, especially if you're moving to Christchurch and don't know the area yet. Prebbleton's been its own village for over 140 years, sitting around 20 minutes from the C*D, close enough for the commute, without losing that slower village feel. There's a primary school, cafes, parks, sporting and community facilities, and walking and cycling trails, all within the village itself, with Lincoln University and Christchurch's high schools close by too.

It's the kind of place where the section's big enough for the kids to actually use, and the commute doesn't eat your evening.
