Accessman Group

Accessman Group NZ's leading supplier of Scissorlifts, Knucklebooms & Cherry Pickers ... Since 1994 These principles remain today with our continued growth across all regions.

The fundamental basis of the Accessman Brand is that of a company based on integrity, product reliability and service second to none โ€“ a true kiwi success story. My vision as Group General Manager extends to a number of core focuses for the near future. The addition of mobile scaffolding to our product range, to increase the level of EWP training options available across New Zealand (given our foc

us on Health & Safety), further development of our franchise system and to provide long term employment opportunities for our staff โ€“ commonly referred to as "The A Team". Our ability to not only maintain our presence but strengthen it, comes with the knowledge that timing is everything. The foresight to meet the market and diversify when required, provides clients the reassurance that Accessman will always deliver. โ€œSuccess is about creating benefit for all & enjoying the processโ€. Uncertified operators are a compliance risk and a scheduling one. A crew that isn't site ready can stop a job before it starts.

Trained operators mean smoother inductions, fewer stoppages and stronger WorkSafe compliance. That's time and money, not just a tick box.

We run IPAF and Silvercard courses from five training centres nationwide, so your team arrives ready to work.

Wrong machine on site is a day you don't get back.

With over 1,300 machines across 10 locations, we'll match the right EWP to your job, your access and your ground conditions. Scissor lifts, knuckle booms, spider booms, telehandlers.

Every one inspected, serviced and certified between hires, so it's job ready before your crew clocks on.

Less time on the phone, more time on site.

Running a project across more than one region? You shouldn't have to manage a different access supplier in every town.

With 7 locations nationwide and 24/7 operational support, you get the same fleet, the same standards and the same back up wherever you're working. We supply some of New Zealand's biggest projects, from Te Kaha Stadium to the City Rail Link (CRL) transport project.

One partner. Every site.

A ladder feels quicker. Until someone's stretching off the top rung to save a trip down.

Most falls from height happen on the small jobs, not the big ones. If a task keeps a worker up and down, off balance or overreaching, that's a job for a lift.

A vertical mast or low level lift sets up in minutes and keeps both feet on a platform. Safer and faster than you'd think.

Not sure what suits the job? Give us a call.

The strongest machine on site is only as safe as the ground under it. Late winter ground hides soft spots under a dry crust.

Before you set up on outriggers:

๐Ÿ”ธ Probe for soft or made up ground
๐Ÿ”ธ Use spreader plates on every leg
๐Ÿ”ธ Level the machine before you go up
๐Ÿ”ธ Recheck as the day warms and traffic works the ground

Get the base right and everything above it is safer.

Every machine that leaves our yard has been checked, serviced and signed off before it gets anywhere near your job.

That's less downtime for your crew and more time actually getting the work done.

Between every hire, every machine is inspected to ensure it's operating safely and reliably.

We also confirm a current Certificate of Fitness (COF) is on board before it leaves our yard. Reliability starts long before the machine arrives on site and it's the reason you're not stuck waiting on a swap out when the pressure's on.

Site inductions go smoother when your operators turn up already certified.

We're New Zealand's exclusive IPAF training provider and we deliver NZQA accredited Silvercard too. IPAF's PAL Licence travels across regions and global projects. Silvercard is the local standard, recognised nationwide.

Either way your crew arrives site ready.

Tight spaces. Working at height. A fit out that can't afford delays.

That's the job at Babylon in Riverside, and it's exactly what our gear's built for.

We're on sites like this across the country every day. Different job, same result: the right machine, on time, every time.

Winter brings the gusts that catch crews out. And the most dangerous wind isn't always the one you can feel at ground level - it's stronger and less predictable at height.

Every EWP has a maximum safe wind speed rating. Exceed it and stability, not comfort, is what's on the line.

A few non-negotiables for working at height in winter weather:

๐Ÿ”ธ Know your machine's rated wind limit and treat it as a hard line, not a guideline.

๐Ÿ”ธ Assign someone to monitor wind speed through the shift, not the operator at height.

๐Ÿ”ธ Watch the forecast and the sky. Conditions can change in minutes.

๐Ÿ”ธ When in doubt, bring it down. No lift is worth the risk.

Productive sites aren't the ones that push through bad weather. They're the ones that plan around it.
