๐จ Not every uneven floor needs to be ripped apart and started again.
This floor had developed some pretty significant humps over the years, making it uneven underfoot and affecting the overall floor profile.
After lifting the flooring, we found the existing subfloor structure was generally in good condition. Instead of replacing piles, we reduced the height of the existing concrete piles and installed adjustable galvanised pile brackets to bring the bearers back down to the correct level. Additional strengthening was carried out where required before the flooring was reinstated.
The result is a floor that's now solid, level and feels like new underfoot.
Every house is different. The key is identifying the cause of the problem and choosing the right repairโnot just the biggest one.
