We worked on this beautiful 1900s brick villa the other day swipe across to see the finished result 👀
The villa was in need of some TLC, with the existing mortar having deteriorated over the years.
After discussing the options with the homeowner, they chose a white mortar to give the original red brickwork a much-needed makeover while keeping the character and charm of the villa.
Another great transformation by the team at Richie’s Brick & Block. 🧱

We completed this job last year alongside Fowler Homes North Canterbury, this project featured the stunning Subiaco Midland brick laid in a half bond pattern with grey mortar, creating a clean and contemporary finish.

The brickwork extends across all exterior elevations, with the gables incorporating a soldier course running from bottom to top, adding a distinctive architectural feature. The development also includes feature brick walls between the units, with a continuous soldier course wrapping around the veneer and extending to the top, creating a strong visual connection throughout the project.

A fantastic project to be involved in and one we're proud to showcase.

Here’s another video explaining the laying bond and showcasing more details of the brickwork featured on this project.

Completed last year alongside Sinclair Builders, this home features the stunning Viblock 450 Slim brick laid in a random bond pattern with crisp white mortar, creating a clean and modern finish.

The brickwork also continues throughout the interior with brick slips installed to all internal walls, helping create a seamless connection between the exterior and interior spaces.

A standout project we were proud to be involved in.
