We’re out on-site today running 80m of mains for a very exciting new build. There’s nothing like the satisfaction of getting the heavy lifting done to power up a client's dream project.

⚡ A real switchboard upgrade is more than just a new box on the wall.

We recently attended a fault where a “new” switchboard had been installed over an old asbestos backing, with incorrect wiring and no proper testing carried out.

When we upgrade a switchboard, we take the time to remove old asbestos boards, install new surface-mounted boards properly, fully test the installation, and leave a clean, modern result - even if that means some patching and painting afterwards.

💡 Our advice: ask to see photos of your electrician’s workmanship.
🔌 Cheapest isn’t always best - quality and safety matter.

We receive a high number of apprenticeship enquiries, so to make sure we’re giving our time and attention to people who are genuinely ready to commit, we’re now running a short Expression of Interest form as the first step in our recruitment process.

• An electrical apprenticeship is a 3-4 year commitment
• Apprentice wages are below minimum wage for at least the first 1–2 years, while training on the job
• The role involves full-time work, early starts, physical tasks, and ongoing learning

What a week! The Christmas rush is well and truly here, no better way to finish the week with some team bonding exercises and a few laughs

Have you ever had your old wiring checked?

We went to a job this week where we found some seriously dangerous cables that could’ve burned the house down! 🔥

The homeowner heard sparking noises coming from their switchboard then gave us a call and it’s a good thing they did! We discovered multiple unsafe TRS (rubber) cables installed back in the 60s. These are some of the most volatile cables ever made, as the rubber breaks down over time.

If your home hasn’t had its wiring inspected in years, it might be time. Call us today for an electrical safety check to make sure your house is safe!

👉 And don’t forget to test your smoke alarms too - they save lives.
