Dry-Sump installation guide.
When fitting a solid type sump pan it's very important the rail is flat and probably one of the most overlooked areas in my opinion. I recommend you dummy assemble the block and lightly surface or at least stone/sand rails to remove any high areas.
The pressure feed (front lower fitting) from the tank must be -16 with flooded suction eg. bottom of the tank higher than pressure feed fitting in the pump.
Pressure out of pump (top front fitting) -12 into filter into two coolers in parallel. Paralleled coolers work more efficiently as the oil is moving at 50% through the cores. From coolers into a manifold or junction feeding each plate separately either in -8 or -10. I also like to use an external regulator at the junction with a bypass return to tank. This reduces parasitic losses when chasing every ounce of power and hot pressure is also easier to adjust. That being said each one of my pumps is gear sized to your block needs so OEM gen3 will handle the oil volume.
Scavenge return (rear fitting closet to block) this can be either -12 or -16 back to tank. Some guys like to run a cooler on the line but please note with heavy weight oil below 40c a restrictive cooler can cause the return bypass to open if the pressure gets higher than 75lbs.
Tank size is 3 gallon minimum with good baffles to remove air from oil on its return.
